The Witboek Beleidsplan Ruimte Vlaanderen formulates spatial development principles to build a "strong and liveable Flanders". The province of Limburg wants to investigate how these abstract principles can be translated into the specific spatial context of the province. With the "Fruitspoor", an old railway line between Sint-Truiden, Borgloon and Tongeren as the leitmotiv, the principles were translated into concrete designs and future perspectives. These visions of the future start from a concrete ambition and arise from a co-production of various stakeholders and actors. An interactive website as well as a "mobile expo" with the first results are being developed (September 2021) in which the co-productive process with local residents, policymakers, entrepreneurs and interested parties can be continued on location, in the various municipalities.
